Bios:
Abby Greensfelder is the founder and CEO of Everywoman Studios which focuses on female-focused, female-driven stories. A former executive with Discovery and head of Half Yard Productions, Greensfelder launched Everywoman to address the gender gap in the entertainment ecosystem via high-quality and commercial content, while also partnering with premium brands and spearheading comprehensive impact campaigns around important issues.
The company’s first feature documentary, LFG, chronicles the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team’s fight for equal pay. The film garnered awards and accolades, including an Emmy nomination. Greensfelder also produced Uncharted, a documentary executive produced by Alicia Keys that gave an inside look into Keys' She Is The Music songwriting camp.
Greensfelder also launched Propelle– an accelerator program for women creators to open doors for up-and-coming women creators.
Under her direction, Discovery launched many of the network’s signature programs, including Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, MythBusters, and the award-winning Planet Earth. While at Discovery, she was named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Next Generation: 35 under 35’.
Greensfelder holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a limited partner at Rethink Impact, a venture firm investing in female-led businesses. A native Washingtonian, she is a keen photographer and a married mother of two girls.
Dr. Lucy McBride is a primary care physician and co-founder of the Ackerly McBride Group in Washington, DC. A graduate of Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins, she is the author of The Empowered Patient: A Doctor’s Guide to Reclaiming Your Health and the popular newsletter Are You Okay?, and hosts the podcast Beyond the Prescription. Her writing has appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and USA Today. She lives in DC with her husband and is the proud mother of three grown children.
