On Monday, July 17 at 2:00 pm, the Book Club: Second Chapter will discuss Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy, a novel describing the life and relationships of Bathsheba Everdene with her lonely neighbor William Boldwood, the faithful shepherd Gabriel Oak, and the thriftless soldier Sergeant Troy.
